Creating Impact, Together

Of the 413 NCD medicines launched between 2013 and 2022, only 55% reached patients in LMICs. At NCDconnect, we believe every patient deserves access to effective therapies, regardless of where they live. That’s why we work side-by-side with innovative manufacturers to make access to best-in-class NCD medicines a reality.

The results speak for themselves; here’s what meaningful collaboration can look like:

ACT for Children | Servier – Paediatric Cancer Initiative

Challenge: For many hospitals in LMICs, access to affordable, quality-assured medicines like peg-asparaginase for acute lymphoblastic leukaemia remains out of reach.

Our Contribution: We coordinated the end-to-end supply chain, from aligning with Servier, forwarders, and local hospitals to managing import documentation and ensuring temperature-controlled air shipments with data-logger monitoring.

Results: $2.8M in oncology medicines delivered to five hospitals across Asia and Central America, supporting more than 1,000 children.

Novartis – Hetero | Access to Nilotinib in Low-Income Countries

Challenge: Access to affordable, quality-assured nilotinib for chronic myeloid leukaemia remains limited in many LICs due to high prices and complex market entry barriers.

Our Contribution: Following Novartis’ voluntary licence agreement for nilotinib, we collaborated with the ATOM Coalition, the Medicines Patent Pool (MPP), the generic manufacturer Hetero and with local authorities in five countries, to fast-track supply and enable platform-based procurement.

Results: Nilotinib is now available via NCDconnect, with generic versions priced up to 10 times lower than the branded product, significantly easing the financial burden on patients and health systems.
