Q: So Dhruv, tell us about yourself and your experience with NCDconnect & IDA Foundation so far?
I’m from Mumbai, India, and I graduated with a degree in IT three years ago and pursuing my Master in Data Science. Since then, I’ve been working in the data management space at IDA Foundation. In my current role as a Data Catalogue Manager and Financial Master Data Integrity Specialist, I focus on organising and ensuring the accuracy of data, working to maintain a high level of integrity and accessibility for our systems.
Q: And what is your role on the platform and in the process?
As a Data Catalogue Manager, my role involves overseeing the organization, classification, and accessibility of data within the platform. I ensure that all data assets are systematically catalogued, well-documented, and easy to access when needed.
Q: What do you enjoy doing outside of your responsibilities at IDA? Any interesting hobbies or favourite pastimes?
I enjoy a variety of activities outside of work. I love to code in my free time, I make time to work out and I’m also a big fan of cricket. Additionally, I love listening to hip-hop music.
Q: And finally, what motivates you to work in the field of Global Health? What drives your passion?
My motivation to work in the field of Global Health comes from a deep desire to make a positive impact on the lives of people worldwide. I am passionate about using data, technology, and innovation to address healthcare challenges, improve access to care, and reduce health disparities. Being able to see the direct effect of my efforts in improving people’s well-being and ensuring they have the resources they need is incredibly fulfilling.
