That\u2019s why earlier this year, <a href=\"https:\/\/ncdconnect.org\/en\/\">NCDconnect<\/a>\u2014through <a href=\"https:\/\/www.idafoundation.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">IDA Foundation<\/a>\u2014joined the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/act-4-children.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Access Cancer Treatment (ACT) for Children<\/a><\/strong> initiative, a global collaboration focused on bridging the care and access gap for pediatric cancer patients in underserved regions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"540\" src=\"https:\/\/ncdconnect.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/RESONANCEGUA06-1024x540.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2196\" style=\"aspect-ratio:16\/9;object-fit:cover\" srcset=\"https:\/\/ncdconnect.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/RESONANCEGUA06-980x517.jpg 980w, https:\/\/ncdconnect.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/RESONANCEGUA06-480x253.jpg 480w\" sizes=\"(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) and (max-width: 980px) 980px, (min-width: 981px) 1024px, 100vw\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">A paediatric oncology patient in the Ay\u00fadame a Vivir hospital in Guatemala.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>ACT for Children unites <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.childhoodcancerinternational.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Childhood Cancer International<\/a> (CCI)<\/strong>, <strong>the <a href=\"https:\/\/siop-online.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">International Society of Paediatric Oncology<\/a> (SIOP)<\/strong>, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/resonancehealth.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Resonance<\/a><\/strong>, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/servier.com\/en\/servier\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Servier<\/a><\/strong>, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/worldchildcancer.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">World Child Cancer<\/a><\/strong>, and <strong>IDA Foundation\/NCDconnect<\/strong>\u2014working in close collaboration with the <strong>Union for International Cancer Control (UICC)-led <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uicc.org\/atom\/atom-coalition-home\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ATOM Coalition<\/a><\/strong>\u2014to strengthen the childhood cancer ecosystem, from medicine access to clinical care and patient support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\" style=\"font-size:25px;font-style:normal;font-weight:300\">Five Countries, $2.8M in Paediatric Cancer Medicines: ACT\u2019s Impact So Far<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-vertically-aligned-stretch is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>Through ACT for Children, <strong>$2.8 million worth of high-quality paediatric oncology medicines<\/strong> have been delivered to five hospitals across <strong>Asia and Central America<\/strong>, supporting over <strong>1,000 children<\/strong> with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (ALL).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This includes the distribution of <strong>peg-asparaginase<\/strong>, a critical medicine in the treatment of Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia (ALL), provided by Servier and safely delivered by IDA Foundation via NCDconnect\u2019s supply chain ecosystem. This included:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Customer and product qualification:<\/strong> Ensuring all stakeholders and facilities met import and safety requirements<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Validated cold chain logistics:<\/strong> Medicines were shipped in 2\u20138\u00b0C cool boxes, approved by our Quality Assurance team, with data loggers included in every shipment to continuously monitor temperature and ensure integrity throughout transit<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Full import documentation:<\/strong> Including customs invoices, packing lists, and airway bills to enable fast clearance<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Coordinated shipments with Green Light process: <\/strong>We worked closely with in-country consignees to approve all documents before dispatch.
